PLANT A JUDAS TREE FOR YEAR ROUND INTEREST
This has to be one of the best value trees you can add to a garden, providing interest for much of the year as an eye-catching focal point. In autumn, its foliage turns the colour of a beautiful sunset, embodying the essence of typical autumn hues, and in summer its fresh green leaves are attractively heart-shaped, appearing with bunches of purple seedpods in later summer Late-summer drama with lime bronze leaves and purplish pods Fresh deep pink blooms are a highlight of spring months and into autumn. However, it’s in spring that it arguably shines the most. Long before its leaves appear, densely packed clouds of bright pink blooms spring forth during April and May in abundance all over its branches and stems, hiding them from view. It’s a relatively small, hardy tree, and grows moderately up to an eventual height of around 10m (33ft).
