The fine folk at the recently launched Outcomers Drogheda have announced a new drop-in service for LGBT+ people in the Drogheda area. Happening on the last Thursday of every month those in need can access a safe space providing support and a referral and social service.
The drop-in will take place from 7-9pm in The Workspace Centre, Mayorality Street, Drogheda. Outcomers Drogheda is a much-needed service for the LGBT+ community. At its launch, Paula Fagan, the CEO of LGBT Ireland, touched upon the value of decentralised LGBT+ safe spaces throughout the country: “Since the Marriage Equality Referendum in 2015, still there’s only a handful of services around the country that are in people’s communities where they can go to…now people in Drogheda, they don’t need to leave the town anymore.”
