FESTIVE EATING STRATEGY
THE TIME FOR FITTING into that little black dress or tuxedo is upon us, but while we may zip up nicely now, by the time we come out the other end of the holiday, it could be another story. It’s so hard to avoid eating and drinking too much that, of course, come January, it’s back to the new year’s resolutions (‘I want to lose weight’, ‘I will get fit’, ‘I need to get back into shape’, ‘this year will be different’…). But we don’t have to follow that cycle. We can still eat, drink and be merry without overindulging.
This isn’t just fairy-tale stuff. It’s about eating the foods we love, but in a new way, so we don’t sabotage our healthy eating plan and pile on the pounds. It’s a matter of learning to enjoy wholesome delicious food that nourishes and energises us.
