2019 Your year of better health

If you’re ready to make a big change to your diet, be inspired by these readers, who prove how much you can achieve in a year. ‘Ultimately, any diet where your calorie intake is below what your body needs will mean you lose weight,’ says Bridget Benelam, nutrition scientist at the British Nutrition Foundation. ‘Having lost weight, it’s key that you find a balanced healthy eating approach you can stick to long term – with healthy portion sizes, lots of fruit and veg, wholegrains, pulses and lean protein.’
