FRESH IDEAS to take to work
How to layer
THE KEY TO A SUCCESSFUL jar salad is in the layering. Rather than mixing everything together in a bowl as you would a normal salad, the dressing sits in the bottom of the jar, with the rest of the ingredients on top. You layer up the salad, starting with the heavier, robust ingredients, and finishing with the more delicate ones. Our recipes list the ingredients in the order they go into the jar, after the dressing. As long as the jar is kept upright until you’re ready to serve, the ingredients will remain intact and at their best.
