MY CORE FOUR
The middle-distance runner (and recently qualified vet) reveals what keeps her going
LAURA MUIR
1 PURE PASSION
It would be very difficult to commit yourself 100 per cent to something and do it day-in, day-out if you didn’t enjoy it. I only run because I love it so much, and while winning races is great, it’s a bonus. Going for a run helps me to clear my mind, gives me a little time to myself and alleviates stress. I get into a nice rhythm where I feel like I’m working hard but fully in control, and it makes me feel good afterwards. The reason I’m in this sport is because I enjoy it, not because I’m winning.
