Whether you want to make yoga more challenging or simpler, TRX is the answer. It makes harder poses more accessible by supporting your core and eliminating the fear of falling on your face, but also allows seasoned yogis to go deeper into a pose. ‘Progressions and regressions can be scaled up or down to match your ability,’ says Matt Gleed, TRX senior master trainer. ‘TRX straps offer the same support as a yoga block, but still provide an element of instability, allowing the body to feel the effect of the internal search for stabilisation by the muscles. This helps beginners, who won’t get used to relying on supports that don’t test their core. More advanced users will love the heightened core activation. For example, for some poses you can place your feet in the foot cradles, instead of on the floor, increasing the amount of body weight that is unstable, for more muscle integration.’ Swanky yoga studios are running classes, but as the TRX system is so portable, you can use it at home, too;
