Hollywood pulled out all the stops for glamour and pizzazz at the 74th Golden Globe Awards, a night when British talent triumphed.

While the romantic musical La La Land swept the board with a record-breaking haul of seven awards, British stars enjoyed their most successful Globes in nearly a decade, scooping six prizes on a night that also saw the enduring popularity of the Queen reign supreme.

Leading the way for British talent was Claire Foy, who won Best Actress in the TV Drama Series category for her role as the monarch in The Crown. The bigbudget Netflix hit, which follows the story of the young Princess Elizabeth as she becomes Queen, also won Best TV Series, Drama.

Claire, who looked stunning in a custom-made pink sequinned gown by Erdem, described her award as an “outof-body experience”, before paying tribute to the woman she portrayed.
