DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES

PHOTOGRAPHER KEN LENNOX ON HER JOURNEY FROM ‘SCALLYWAG’ TO SUPERSTAR

2OTH ANNIVERSARY

During his 60-year career, award-winning photographer Ken Lennox captured some of the most memorable images of the Princess of Wales.

From the very first picture of her as the then little-known Lady Diana Spencer to her tragic death 17 years later, the four-time British Press Photographer of the Year developed a rapport with the woman who wanted to be “a Queen of people’s hearts”.

“She was beautiful, fun and kind; a lovely girl to be around,” Ken tells HELLO! in this exclusive interview to mark the 20th anniversary of Diana’s death. “We photographers fell a little bit in love with her.”

Here, he describes his extraordinary encounters over the years with the woman who won the adoration of the world – and reveals why he thinks nobody will ever claim her crown as “the people’s Princess”.
