TERRORISM has affected everyone in the United Kingdom, and as Islamist terror attacks continue to become a sadly familiar feature of life in cities all over Europe we are realising that its victims can be anyone; anywhere, at any time. Every terror attack provokes a circus on our television sets of wall-to-wall frenetic, anxiety-inducing coverage and fresh commitments from the Westminster government to clamp down on extremism and take the war to the heartlands of these barbaric organisations in the Middle East. But all of this gets tired and repetitive to a British public increasingly wakening up to the fact that – in one way or another – the London government is itself the cause.
