‘British Exceptionalism’ is a phenomenon whereby people say that the British, without thinking about it, just know, intuitively, that they are the best at everything. Now pay attention because this ‘not thinking about it’ is the important bit.
This ‘exceptionalism’ therefore includes things like the British economy, which is obviously very efficient and run in the best way possible, indeed in the only way possible.
