“Basically,” wrote a predictably smug David Torrance in The Herald following a decidedly heated row in the independence movement early last month, “Yessers have split into two camps.” No one likes infighting, but, if we are honest, this particular handbags-at-dawn has been brewing for a while. Those of us familiar with Scottish political Twitter know there is no love lost between Common Space and Wings Over Scotland’s Stuart Campbell. As the vanguard media hubs of two broadly discernible tribes within the Yes movement they have been doing the whole menacing rhythmic finger snapping thing around one another for years.
