We have to announce that David Bates has resigned from his position as Chairman of the Club for personal reasons. David will continue to be active in his local Region and we thank him for his time as Chairman and wish him well for the future. David will also continue to edit the Regional News for the immediate future until a suitable replacement can be found.
Vice-Chairman, Rob Jenner, will assume the responsibilities of Chairman with immediate effect, a position he will take up officially at the AGM later this year.
We wish Rob every success in his new role for the Club. Rob introduces
himself in Club News and if you want more information on him, he did contribute a profi le in the July 2012 edition of Jaguar Enthusiast. Rob willnow also continue to co-ordinate the Forums for the Club as well.
On a totally diff erent subject our return to Newby Hall for the National Northern Day was a great success. Although perhaps not a record turnout (weather and fi nances must aff ect these events), it was a really good day and the rain (mostly) kept away. You can read a full report on the event in this magazine.
Next, of course it is National Southern Day at Littlecote House (see the advert in this magazine). It’s not too late to apply for your tickets using the pre-booking form previously supplied, download a copy from the Club’s website at www.jec.org.uk or just ring the office on Tel: 0117 969 8186; it looks like being another superb event – see you there.
