OH SO SWEET AND OH SO SPICY

With loganberries, chilli and sweetcorn on the menu, you know that Anna Cairns Pettigrew’s latest culinary creations are going to be nothing short of totally tasty

APPLES LOGANBERRIES MUESLI CRUMBLE

Loganberries are a hybrid variety and a prolific cropper that will no doubt give you a glut to use up. Freshly picked berries can always be frozen for later use in the season or, as here, popped into a tasty pudding.

Preparation time: 25 minutes

Cooking time: 30 minutes

FILLING

■ 4 cooking apples

■ 100g/3½oz loganberries

■ 50g/1½oz caster sugar

CRUMBLE

■ 50g/1½oz spelt flour

■ 75g/2½oz good quality muesli

■ 50g/1½oz unsalted butter

■ 30g/1oz coconut sugar

1. Preheat the oven to 190C/375F/gas 5.

2. Peel and core the apples, then quarter and cut into chunks.
