A studio at the Brown Beach House hotel, just a minute from the beach
City break in Tel Aviv
With Israel’s long summer only now drawing to a close, November is a great month to catch the Mediterranean-facing beaches of Tel Aviv at their least crowded, while still enjoying the prospect of warm, dry weather. With a great location on the gleaming sands of Trumpeldor, the recently opened Brown Beach House is the height of urban elegance, its graphic, monochrome palette and poppy statement furniture offering a fun reimagining of a 1950s resort hotel. Spend lazy days exploring the palm-dotted promenade on a (free) borrowed bike, or head to Carmel Market for a falafel lunch. Tel Aviv’s nightlife, centred on the bars and clubs of Shenkin and Allenby streets, is justifably renowned – end with a nightcap in the hotel’s Flamingo Bar, decorated with a giant, pink neon outline of one of the birds.
