German Wine Route

1 THE ROUTE

The Deutsche Weinstrasse is a collection of rural roads that wend their way through the vinecovered heart of the Palatinate (Pfalz). Starting in Bockenheim, the route winds south for 52 miles to Schweigen-Rechtenbach, on the French border. Don’t miss the post-harvest thanksgiving festival in the route’s midpoint town of Neustadt, held in early October (deutsche-weinstrasse.de).
