graphics cards are cyclical. We’re now in the calm between the storms of new GPU generation launches. Both Nvidia’s RTX 40 Series and AMD’s RX 7000 GPUs have been fully fleshed out. Likewise, it’ll be a while before any properly new graphics cards are launched, so it’s the perfect time to take stock and consider where the value propositions lie. In other words, what are the best picks of this generation? And might there be one or two old timers from the previous gen of GPUs that still make sense?
