What is the biggest challenge you are facing at the moment?

It is fair to say that there are real challenges across health and social care and the government is doing everything to support the system, not just during this winter but for the longer term too.

Part of my job is about supporting the immediate and longer-term development of a sustainable workforce across health and social care across a range of disciplines, not just nursing and within the registered and unregistered workforce.

We need to look into all avenues and all opportunities in relation to recruitment and retention.
