OF MICE & MEN

Another Miracle

Of Mice & Men are determined to get their due

CENTURY MEDIA

California’s metalcore nearly men continue to prove their worth

IN 2025, OF Mice & Men may just be the most underrated band in metalcore. There was a time when the Orange County crew were contenders for the big leagues. In the early and mid-00s, a double whammy of albums – 2011’s The Flood and 2014’s Restoring Force – saw them whip up a real buzz, while two years later, fourth record Cold World saw them support Slipknot and Five Finger Death Punch. That they’ve struggled to maintain that hype following the departure of singer Austin Carlile in 2016 is unfair, especially when you consider bassist Aaron Pauley, who stepped up seamlessly to become frontman, is given nowhere near the props he deserves.
