MG Enthusiast Magazine An MGA to Savour Back Issue

THERE IS ONE QUESTION that I get
asked more than any other about
editing MG Enthusiast: ‘Don’t you ever
run out of cars to feature?’ The short answer is
no, and rather than struggling to find enough
feature cars to fill the pages, I have a much
harder time trying to squeeze all the stories
into an issue. Just look at the variety on this
contents spread alone, not just of models but
also of subject matter and feature styles, and
you will get an idea of my problem.
The fact is that a car cannot exist for 20, 30,
40 or more years and not gather stories along
the way. It is the same with their owners,
whether the main thrust of a story lies in their
background leading up to purchase of the
featured MG or in a long association between
car and driver. And no matter how well you
know your MG history, there are always new
avenues and blind alleys to discover and
explore, such as the Riley Riviera in this
month’s Your MGs pages.
Firstly, I must acknowledge that this is a Riley
and not an MG, but since it is a sister car to the
MkIII MG Magnette and the Riviera was
powered by an MGA engine, I feel it deserves a
place in the magazine – it is one of the blind
alleys of history that I mentioned above, one
that few people remember but which adds
richness and variety to these pages.
However, we are always on the lookout for
more so why not send us details of you and
your car? We may be able to use it in the Your
MGs pages, or we may send a reporter along
to help craft a bigger feature. But whatever you
do, please don’t assume that you have no story
to tell. After all, you enjoy reading about others,
so what makes you think they wouldn’t be
interested in what you have to say?

MG Enthusiast

I look forward to receiving my copy each month when it arrives in my post box, however since covid19 & no flights from the UK, I haven't seen a copy for months now.
I am happy to be able to read the online version but do prefer the hard back copy which I collect !
