Tru-Color are an American company that make a wide range of lacquer-based paints. They are designed to be airbrushed and dry to a tough, slightly glossy finish. They have a huge range of railway paints, but they also offer a good selection of colours for military modellers. All land force colours are assigned to the tcp-1400 to tcp-1599 series of colours and matched to Federal Standard colours. Their latest military paints are: Soviet & Russian: Equivalent to FS-15092- Sky Blue (1620); Soviet & Russian: Equivalent to FS-15065- Traffic Blue (1621); Soviet & Russian:Equivalent to FS-25183- Light Blue (1622) and Soviet & Russian: Equivalent to FS-16293- Medium Grey (1623). As well as individual paint bottles, Tru-Color also produce sets of six themed paints. A lot of careful research has gone into matching these paints to their historical counterparts. The paints come in one- or two-ounce bottles and can ordered directly from their website (www.trucolourpaint. com) or distributors worldwide (again listed on their website).
