The ultimate holy grail among unopened packs, a rare example of Topps (Bubbles Inc.) Mars Attacks was available at Memory Lane Inc. Winter Rarities 2023 auction. Only one pack had been graded by Professional Sports Authenticators until this example surfaced from a shoebox in the summer of 2022 in the Northeast/tri-state area. The only extant example was a PSA 4; this pack is stunning, grading out as a PSA 8 NM-MT.
The pack features the iconic image of a Martian leading the attack against Earth, with the letters spelling out Mars Attacks dripping with blood. The back of the pack displays a similar Martian along with previews of the contents urging collectors to complete the entire fifty-five card set. Upon close inspection card #31, The Monster Reaches In, can be seen through the back of the pack.
