Council considers land order behind closed doors

A report on making a compulsory land purchase on Colonsay to make way for five new affordable homes has been considered behind closed council doors.

The matter was on the agenda for Argyll and Bute’s full council meeting on November 29 but the item was restricted and members of the public and press were banned from listening in. At the meeting, councillors considered a report by the executive director of development and infrastructure services advising of the option of using a compulsory purchase order to obtain a piece of land to allow the development of the new homes.

The council agreed to the recommendations as outlined in the submitted report.
