Oban Homebase not on list to close

Oban’s Homebase has been spared the axe, after the company announced 42 closures across the UK, with the loss of 1,500 jobs. Hilco, which bought the chain for £1 in May from Australia’s Wesfarmers, said out of its 241 stores, 42 would close over the next 16 months.
