MORE than 14 schools across Lochaber have accepted an invitation to participate in a project designed to get more youngsters taking part in the Mòd.
The Highland Council, An Comunn Gàidhealach and the Lochaber National Mòd Local Organising Committee (LOC) are working in partnership with Fèisean nan Gàidheal to deliver the Mòd Academy Project in the lead up to the Royal National Mòd in Fort William in October.
The Mòd Academy Project will see experienced Gaelic tutors and teachers give language and musical tuition to pupils. An Comunn officers will also visit schools to raise awareness of the Mòd and how pupils can participate.
