IT GOT extremely hot and cold in the kitchen for BBC Scotland TV series Landward last week, when the countryside programme arrived in Oban for two days of filming.

Crowds flocked as presenter Dougie Vipond and celebrity chef Nick Nairn cooked squat lobsters and scallops with seabuckthorn on North Pier in glorious sunshine on Wednesday. The appearance came after the pair prepared rose veal schnitzels and goat kebabs in the rain on Ganavan Sands the day before.
