It’s official: Seil and Skye are islands – and will not be exempt from the Islands (Scotland) Bill. Bridges link both to the mainland, and this month an MSP reportedly questioned whether Skye was a ‘real island’. However, Holyrood defined islands as naturally formed land ‘surrounded on all sides by sea’.
