A NEW satellite hub of e-Sgoil was officially opened last Wednesday at the old Carinish school building in North Uist.
Deputy First Minister John Swinney opened the hub and met with Comhairle nan Eilan Siar’s new apprentices as part of their induction programme.
E-Sgoil, established in August 2016 with funding from the Scottish Government and Bòrd na Gàidhlig, aims to harness digital technology to provide education in remote and rural areas by allowing students access to the curriculum in English and Gaelic through online distance learning.
