• The Fort William Strategic Transport Study is holding an informal drop-in session today (Thursday March 8) in the Fort William Library community room from 1-7pm. A team of consultants and members of the study team will be there. Go along any time during the session to offer your views.
• Lochaber Local History Society is hosting a talk from John Dye on vitrified forts tonight (Thursday March 8).In a week when a new book on Dun Deardail has been launched and when we all could probably benefit from a bit of real time warming vitrification John’s talk is timely. The talk begins at 8pm at the Ben Nevis Hotel.
• The Emporium of Worldly Goods is hosting an informal, family-friendly event tomorrow (March 9) in order to raise awareness of Fairtrade fashion during Fairtrade Fortnight 2018, from 7pm to 9pm. An informal drinks reception will be followed by a brief talk about what Fairtrade means, who benefits and how you can be a conscious consumer when choosing what to wear. A fashion show featuring the Emporium’s fairly-traded clothing lines for spring/summer is the main event, followed by live music. Admission is free and ticketed due to limited space.
