Parchment Craft  |  December 2009
First up and featured on the cover is Loving Bear by Kannikar Sukseree (Page 6). This cute and cuddly bear design has been painted using the art of one stroke painting; though don’t fret if you have never attempted this form of the craft before as Kannikar has also provided five step by step images to assist you.
Grid work is quite prominent in this issue too with Kathleen Shields’ Christmas Decorations (Page 9) being styled on the diagonal grid, along with a family inspired piece by Lyn Selby (Page 32) The number of contributors submitting work from overseas is on the increase with this month’s Talent Spotter Isha Gupta residing in Switzerland. Isha has provided two different star designs and shown how these examples of grid work can look radically different by changing the backing paper (Page 44).
