The appearance of my skin is most markedly affected by inflammation. If there’s an allergy, food intolerance, poor food choice, gut imbalance or stressor of any sort causing chronic, unchecked inflammation in your body, you will see it in your skin; as premature ageing, blemishes or redness, or skin sensitivity.

To boost skin health, I try to eat a ‘rainbow’ – colourful, seasonal, whole foods packed with phytochemicals; and I also eat fermented foods, like sauerkraut, every day. I use antioxidant packed spices and herbs and keep my blood sugar balanced by adding clean protein and healthy fats to all my meals.
