editor’s letter
This month, we ask you to take part in our summer energy makeover. It’s an invitation to notice the habits, thinking, and even people, sucking away your life force. The great news is that you can do something about it and, on page 66, we’ve created a five-point vitality revamp. By the end of summer, you can be rid of the energy drains and feel truly rested and reinvigorated. It’s a theme reflected throughout this issue: Sháá Wasmund tackles perfectionism and procrastination on page 39; Sarah Niblock, CEO of the UKCP, challenges us to look at the way we’re using social media on page 52; and Kim Morgan, our resident coach, questions the thinking of a woman who chooses bad boys (page 46).
As ever, we gently encourage you to find new ways to thrive: Amber Rae helps us choose wonder over worry on page 21, Oliver Burkeman cleverly defuses conflict on page 60 and there are recommendations galore from Retreat Queen Caroline Sylger Jones on page 113.
