J.K. Rowling confirmed the “existence” of seven other wizarding schools in the Harry Potter universe, in addition to the three mentioned in the books, which is about as useful as knowing Ahab was oblivious to other white whales swimming around in Moby-Dick.

A petition to name a new element “octarinel,” after late author Terry Pratchett’s fictional “colour of magic,” obtained 40,000 signatures. No word on the likely spoiler campaign by men’s-rights activists who think the name “Terry” is girly.
