AGONY EDITOR
Dear Agony Editor,
I’m a small-press author who has published two collections of stories to some acclaim. My parents seem proud of me, but they’ve never read my books. Last year, while hopped up on wine, I asked them why. My dad said nothing. My mom said it wasn’t her thing. My mom can read – Fifty Shades books are scattered all over the house (I don’t want to contemplate why that’s her thing). My father can read – newspapers mostly. I’ve given them copies of my books. Should I ask them about it again or let it drop?
