THE FESTIVAL OF LITERARY DIVERSITY, based in Brampton, Ontario, is only in its fourth year, yet founder Jael Richardson is already looking ahead to its next generation of readers and writers. “I think putting all of our energy into the FOLD is really a short-term goal,” she says. “In order for the adult festival to survive, it’s really important for there to be an ongoing development of young readers and writers.”
To that end, FOLD Kids, a standalone festival for readers 12 and under, will take place in Brampton Sept. 27–29.
