RC Jet International  |  August/September 2015
We report from Paradise Field, Lakeland Airport, Florida, as the invitation-only showpiece that is Top Gun ’15 took place, one that was blessed with glorious weather and some stunning models! We have the final part of Jon Ranson’s Venom conversion, as his 1/6th scale electric model takes to the skies. Also Harry Curzon gets all sentimental, as he builds a boyhood dream model, the Lightning, from a Mick Reeves kit. Our engine test this issue is KingTech’s K-45G, a new entry into the small turbine market. Also Colin Straus gets his impressive Avanti XXL sport jet airborne, Dave Gladwin looks at Jets Munt’s XBL 100 gas turbine in use and Dave Wilshere offers some advice on making a safe landing. Enjoy the issue!
