WII U • GENERAL PRODUCER This Wii U launch game remains an interesting collection of hits and misses. Games like Mario Chase and Luigi’s Ghost Mansion are utterly superb fun, but others like Takamaru’s Ninja Castle are completely throwaway and best forgotten. It’s great to see Nintendo leaning into its heritage so strongly, and we’d argue that the good minigames easily outweigh the bad ones, but it’s also rather telling that Nintendo has never made a sequel of any sort.
