The Northern Hemisphere may only just now be warming up to the idea of the sprint racing season, but for those south of the Equator, summer is drawing to a close. The Sydney International Rowing Regatta (SIRR) which took place at the start of April marked the grand finale of the Australian summer season. Seven days long and held on the Sydney Olympic course in Penrith, it incorporates the Open and School championships as well as the King’s and Queen’s Cup races.
