Rugby League World  |  504
The turn of the year is a time for reflection, as we look back on notable achievements and milestones, and also a time for looking forward to things yet to come.
Inside this issue, we celebrate the winners of the Golden Boot awards in the men’s, women’s and wheelchair games and congratulate them on their successes over the season just ended, and we also make a few bold predictions about what might happen in the world of rugby league in 2025; a year which will hopefully see the Ashes contested on these shores for the first time since 2003. A successful series for England has the potential to be a gamechanger for the profile of our sport in this country and we cannot wait to see what unfolds when the Aussies return at last!
We also travel back to 1895, to assess how what we now regard to be a momentous event in sporting history that resulted in the birth of rugby league was viewed at the time.
Our cover features Brian Noble, who talks to us about his return to the coaching hotseat at Bradford where he enjoyed great success during the club’s Super League glory days. Can he recapture some of the old magic and guide the Bulls to the top of the Championship and beyond?
We’ve packed the magazine with plenty to keep you entertained over the festive period, and we will be back in time for the start of the new season with our ever-popular club-by-club preview of all the action in store, plus our invaluable pocket guide to all the fixtures.
