Good to know
I am quite a tight crocheter, please size down in hook size if you feel you need to.
I started each row with a standing crochet, however the pattern is written using the more popular method of chains, please use your preference.
It is better to sew the ends of the striped panels into the border once you’ve completed and joined it (on three sides).
Bobble stitch -Work the instructed number of dc’s along the row. Make a slip knot with the yarn you will use for the bobbles: place the hook through the st that you will make your bobble in and pick up the new yarn and pull through to the right side. *Join with a ss, ch1. Begin as if you were making 1tr (yarn over, insert hook into st, yarn over, pull back through, yarn over, pull through two loops) but omit the last step (leaving two loops on your hook). Continue to work the desired number of half finished tr’s (4) into the same stitch. Yarn round hook with the cream yarn and pull through all the loops to secure. Now work 1dc in the next stitch, making sure that the bobble yarn tail is being worked over at the same time, continue * along.
