■ Rico Ricorumi DK (100% cotton, 25g/57.5m), 1 ball of each: Nude (023), Pastel Green (045), Red (028), Green (049), Cream (002), Pistachio (047)
■ Rico Essentials Super Kid Mohair Loves Silk (70% mohair, 30% silk, 25g/200m), 1 ball of Taupe (052)
■ A 2mm (US 4 steel or B/1)
■ A 2.5mm (US B/1 or C/2) hook
■ A 3mm (US C/2 or D/3) hook
■ A stitch marker
■ Toy stuffing
■ White glue
ABBREVIATIONS ch2-picot Ch2, ss in second ch from hook lark’s head knot Insert hook around post of st, catch centre fold of yarn bundle and pull part way through, yrh with yarn tails and pull tails through the centre fold, pull tails to tighten knot For a full list, see page 88 of Simply Crochet magazine
STRAWBERRY FAIRY DOLL Follow the Doll pattern on page 4, using the following colours: Arms using Nude. Legs using Pastel Green. Rounds 1-11 of Body using Pastel Green. Rounds 12-26 of Body using Nude. Do not make the Head until after the Doll’s clothes. Head using Nude. Embroider facial details using the image as a guide.
