“When I was asked to design a floral cushion cover for this Hook to Hook challenge, I was thrilled because two things I love to crochet are homewares and flowers. This cushion has a 3D quality with these pretty flowers, as I like my designs to have a tactile quality. The yarn by Stylecraft is so soft and easy to use, and this colour palette gives my piece a vintage feel.” Find Munira on Instagram at @chromacrochet

“As soon as I saw the brief for this challenge, I knew I wanted to create an intarsia design using all of the different colours. This cushion is inspired by mid-century art, so it has a modern yet retro feel to it. Hopefully it will add a lovely pop of colour to your home. One stitch is used throughout the whole piece, but the colour changes keep it interesting!” Find Lois on Instagram at @logiilo, or on her website, www.logii.co.uk
Left to right: Munira loves to add 3D texture to her designs, which she‘s done beautifully with the flower motifs that stand out from the granny squares behind; the front cover is made from nine squares worked in two colourways, then attached to the back with a double crochet seam
