I don’t know about you, but food and exercise are the two things that can really affect my mood. If I’m having a bad day, going for a run in the fresh air and then sitting down to a bowl full of vibrant veggies can really transform how I feel. With mental health on many of our minds, we’ve focused on food that makes you feel great this issue — from hearty curries to soul bowls made with ancient grains and seasonal salad (p10).
We’ve also been exploring the latest fitness trends this month — from health-focused festivals to tabata training, each are a great way to shake up your routine and take charge of your wellbeing (p68). I’ve been attempting to turn my garden into something resembling a relaxing space this month (needless to say, with two children and a dog I was unsuccessful), and now with our feature on p17 I’m hoping to make it into a more hospitable space for insects and wildlife too.
