School lunches
My child’s school doesn’t offer any vegan lunch options. Are they obliged to legally?
They are currently not legally obliged to, but here are some tips for approaching a school: highlight your child’s social needs, they should be able to enjoy a meal with their peers. In some cases you can draw upon the 2010 Equality Act. You could try highlighting vegan-friendly simple swaps on current menus. ProVeg can help with this, email schools@proveg.com for advice!
