With heightened security being the order of the day across much of the globe, clientele intent on an African safari often end up in a bit of a quandary as to what rifle(s) to take with them. To avoid unneeded stress, perhaps it would be wise to only take one calibre, suitable for all the trophy species you’ll want to shoot. Leading safari companies usually have rifles for hire, although in my experience most dedicated sport-hunters prefer to use their own.
