“I was 25, 26 and I’d been working for several years doing consulting work for retail shops. I was going to be a game designer, there was no two ways about it. There’s nothing else I’d even considered! I designed a trading card game based on The Chronicles of Amber for a small San Francisco company, but they imploded right as they were gonna print the game. So I was like, ‘I’m starting my own company [Anoch] and printing my own damn game.’ I was driven and passionate and bullheaded like only a young person can be.”
