What titles are on display in the exhibition?
The games range from an Ancient Egyptian game called senet to the app-enhanced XCOM and a lot in between. Classics both old and new, from chess and Ludo to Monopoly and Scrabble, of course feature, but there is also a selection of beautifully illustrated games from the late 18th and early 19th centuries designed to educate the young, and a range of lesser-known 20th-century games that show the influence of world events, conflict, sport, leisure and popular culture on gameplay and design.
