Tuesday nights are not normally the most exciting evenings of the week for going out so I was very keen to get along to a relatively ‘new event’ one Tuesday in April. I say ‘new event’ but it was actually the second such arranged gathering at this particular pub this year (the previous, and first one being about two months ago). Quite simply it was an open invitation put up on the TV Chix Events page by Kerry Nope (http://tvchix.com/profiles/kerry_nope) inviting people along to this friendly local pub in Cowley.
The evening started at 8pm and went on until 2am. I arrived around 9.30pm to find a full car park, but had no trouble parking in a side-road opposite the pub. It was quite busy inside with around 40 or more T-Girls, a couple of partners and a few locals although there was plenty of seating with tables. There was a single long bar and a DJ playing 70’s and 80’s tracks for those on the small dance floor. The lone barmaid was a bit overwhelmed on her own but soon had some help from one of the girls who had helped out with the serving before.
Needless to say there were plenty of photo-opportunities, as there usually is whenever T-Girls get together!
