The Hide, Hwange National Park
Growing up in Zimbabwe, my appreciation for wildlife and Africa’s wilderness areas developed from regular excursions to the Matobo Hills and on holidays to Hwange National Park, where there seemed to be drama and excitement around each corner. The Hide safari camp has become a firm favourite, both personally and professionally. It is a place where serenity surrounds you, where wildlife and birdlife abound, and where you feel instantly at home — for me, it resonates with memories of special family reunions. Professionally, The Hide has supported Travel Africa since issue 1 (in 1997), and is the only company still advertising that exists in its same form: a familyrun enterprise born from a passion for Hwange’s enduring appeal. The roots of our two businesses lie in the same soil.
