NEW PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK
After playing Moriarty in Elementary and Margaery Tyrell in Game of Thrones, it seems that actress Natalie Dormer has got a taste for playing iconic characters with a distinctly dark side. Her latest role is in a six-part adaptation of the classic Australian novel Picnic At Hanging Rock, about three adolescent girls and their teacher, who mysteriously vanish during a picnic in the Australian wilderness on Valentine’s Day in 1900. A 1975 film of the haunting mystery
is considered a cinematic masterpiece – but that didn’t put off Dormer from
starring in the new version, made by Australian TV and showing on BBC2.
